More than 5,000 people attended the Albany Book Festival
at the University at Albany campus on a gorgeous September Saturday.
Talks by Doris Kearns Goodwin, Colson Whitehead, Alicia Ostriker, William Kennedy, Gregory Maguire and other literary luminaries, the nearly 100 local authors and their fans, the overflow crowds at the writing workshops, and the food, history, mystery and New Americans panels gave us all a positive feeling that books and writing and thoughtful discussion are all alive and well in these turbulent times.
Thank you to everyone who attended. Let's do it again in 2019!
