Customers must purchase a ticket to attend "The Hot Mess Show."
One ticket ($25) admits two people to the event and includes one signed copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid #19: Hot Mess.
All books will be pre-signed. There will be no personalization, books from home, photos or meet and greet with Jeff Kinney.
In addition to the pre-signed book included with your ticket, pre-signed copies of all Awesome Friendly Kid and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books will be available for purchase at the event.
Jeff Kinney, a “rock star” of middle grade literature, began writing jokes and drawing illustrations in 1998 in a series of journals for what would later become Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Join Jeff "The Hot Mess Show," a deliciously entertaining and interactive one hour event. Jeff will be serving up laughs and celebrating the latest Wimpy Kid book, while satisfying your craving for family fun! Audience members will have a chance to join Jeff on stage for a family-style feast of friendly competition! Make your next family outing a HOT one!
Loosely based on Jeff’s own childhood, the Wimpy Kid series follows middle school weakling Greg Heffley as he keeps a journal about the trials, tribulations, and humor of dealing with family, friends and surviving middle school.
The first book in the series was published in 2007 and became a runaway success. Today, there are 18 books in the series in 84 editions and 69 languages. The books have sold more than 290 million copies globally. The series has been adapted into four live action movies, three animated films on Disney+, and a musical. The 19th addition to the book series is titled Hot Mess (Oct. 2024).
Kinney is a six–time Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award winner for Favorite Book and has been named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. He spent his childhood in the Washington, DC, area and moved to New England, where he and his wife own a bookstore named An Unlikely Story.
