So many books, so little time.

If you, like many of us, both read and listen to books, you'll be delighted to learn our friends at the Upper Hudson Library System created a Libby list of more than 1000 visiting writers' books.

Now, finding our guests' books on the app is easier than ever. Just open the Libby app.

What's Libby?

It's the UHLS app. Download it and you can:

  • search and request material

  • find the nearest library branch

  • download eBooks and eAudiobooks

How to Get Started

    • Available on iOS, Android, and as a web app at libbyapp.com.

    • Enter your library card number and PIN (ask your local branch if you don’t know it).

  3. Browse or search for titles

  4. Borrow a title

    • Tap Borrow to check out a title.

    • You can read or listen instantly in the app or download for offline use.

    • If a book is checked out, tap Place Hold to get in line.

    • Libby will notify you when it’s your turn.

  6. Read or listen

    • Libby has a built-in reader and audiobook player.

    • You can adjust font size, background color, playback speed, and more.

  7. Return or renew

    • Titles return automatically at the end of the loan period.
