Memoir writing workshop offered and challenge grant update

Has this year of pandemic lockdown made you more introspective? Have you always wanted to write a memoir, but did not know how to start?

Noted author, teacher, memoir editor and writing coach Marion Roach Smith is offering “Memoirama,” a 90-minute interactive webinar that will give you the tools to get writing your story immediately.

Marion is a former New York Times staffer and author of four books. She has coached hundreds of very successful writers. She is the author of The Memoir Project: A Thoroughly Non-Standardized Text for Writing and Life (Grand Central Publishing).

Marion is a friend of The New York State Writers Institute and she is offering this class as a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to the NYSWI. We are grateful to Marion for her generous support!

“Memoirama” is a live, 90-minute webinar with Q&A and it will teach you the basics of memoir writing, allow you to ask questions, and motivate you to get right to work. Marion’s promise: “As a memoir coach, I will help you beat writer’s block…and write with intent.”
